Class Pet

Yesterday we took the kids to a festival put on by a local church.  It was a lot of fun.  They had free activities for the whole family - games, bounce houses, a band, food, contests (all free - which these days is a big deal).  It was just a great time to be out and about in our community.

One of the games had a very interesting prize...

Bean was thrilled when she won!  When the lady at the game handed her this goldfish I thought she might burst with excitement.  There was jumping up and down and squealing and giggling and smiles - it was pretty cool to see her get so excited.

So now we have a pet.  Bean has named the fish "Fishy" - yeah, I know.  I try for creativity with her, but this is a girl who names her toy dolls "Baby" and her toy bears "Beary" so what can you do? Ha!
