This morning we woke up and watched Curious George as we usually do. Our favorite little monkey was making hats for all of his friends. The kids thought this was great and asked if they could make hats. After a quick search for hat making supplies I told them yes, with paper bags.
It started out ok. The kids were decorating their bags happily, but then they went to put them on their heads and we discovered that our bags just weren't going to hold up.
That's when Bug said, "We can make puppets!"
And the hats became puppets.
But then I remembered that I had some nifty designs in my stash of mom goodies so I went and got them. And what was great about the designs was that the kids had to cut them out - and we all know that cutting must be practiced A LOT.
So the kids happily cut and pasted and this is what came out of it...
Aren't they cute? The kids just love them!
