Humpty Dumpty and Safety

We started discussing safety today.  Safety at home, safety while out, safety all the time...

Humpty Dumpty makes a great safety example.  He wasn't very safe.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Each kid even made their own Humpty Dumpty!  Left is Bug's and right is Bean's.

Poor Humpty, if he had only been smart enough not to climb up that wall he would have never fallen off.

The kids are both really into our safety lessons.

*I just want to point out that both kids cut out their own Humpty Dumpty!  It was very slow going, but they did it!  Motor skills are improving!!!

  2. They really did a super job! I had to hold Bean's paper while she cut, but she was working the scissors quite well.

Bug just went to town! Working with scissors has been stressed with him the past few months so he is getting A LOT of practice. :)

  3. Hi - My name is Ashley and I found your blog through Another Piece of the Puzzle. Sorry to post this as a comment to one of your posts but I couldn't find an email address. My husband is finishing his PhD in clinical psychology and for his final research project, he is looking into ASD in children. I was wondering if you would be willing to fill out a quick online survey. If you are, it can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ASDStudy
Feel free to email me with any questions at ashleyDOTthorsonATgmailDOTcom
Hope you are having a good weekend.
